The First Infanty Division.

The 1st Inf. Also know as the Big Red 1. Before WWI the army was unorginized. But in WWI the 1st. Infantry Division was born. They are symbolized by a unique patch, of a Big Red 1. You may know the Big Red1 by CoD 2 Big Red 1. They played a HUGE role in WWII. They were apart of the Africa envasion. Italy Invasion. And the greatest envasion of all time, The landing on Normandy France, on June 6th 1944. THis invasion vas code named OVERLOARD. Today the Big Red 1 is smaller. They are fighting in Iraq. Yet they still have there famous Big Red 1 patch.
